SA Environmental Affairs
SA’s Environmental Affairs Department represents students when working with administration on environmental issues. They also work to educate the campus on sustainability and to make the Student Association’s operations more sustainable.
They are guided by UB’s Climate Action Plan, which aims to make all of UB climate neutral by 2030. Environmental Affairs pushes to see the goals of this plan become reality, by working with administrators and taking action on the Climate Action Plan’s major goals.
As the link between students and administration, SA Environmental Affairs also educates students on topics related to sustainability. They’ve hosted events in the past, such as the Sustainability Bazaar Pie-a-Palooza, to bring awareness to important issues.
The Environmental Affairs Department is also actively working to make SA more sustainable. They’ve written a Climate Action Report and a Climate Action Plan, which calculate SA's greenhouse gas footprint and work to eliminate it by 2020.
If you have any questions or concerns about the environment inside or outside UB, please stop by our office at 321A Student Union, or email us at UBSAEnvironmental@gmail.com. To contact a particular staff member, see the SA staff list.
