For a week or more, students from some of SA's Engineering Clubs work to build a bonfire of 250-300 pallets in the shape of the Homecoming Game's opposing team mascot and then set it ablaze to hype up the crowd for the Homecoming Game the next day. In 2023, the clubs beat their heat record by 1,000 degrees.  This is an iconic SA tradition that features the Thunder of the East Marching Band, UB Spirit Squad, UB football players and coaches and ends with a fireworks finale. Everyone is welcome to attend.
