Run for Senate
Senate Elections occur every Fall Semester.
There are 12 seats for elected Senators.
To run for Senate, students must be current UB undergraduates and in good academic standing according to the University.
Students must sign out a petition and obtain at least 50 legible signatures from other current UB undergraduate students. Important dates regarding petitions and elections are shared via our digital signage, Instagram, and on our website.
Run for Office
Executive Board (E-Board) Elections occur every Spring Semester.
There are five E-Board positions: President, Vice President for Advocacy, Vice President for Clubs, Vice President for Events, and Treasurer.
To run for office, students must be current, full-time UB undergraduates and in good academic standing according to the University.

Spring 2026 E-Board Elections
Here are the important dates to note:
- Petitions will be made available on Monday, 02/23/26 at 10am.
- Petitions must be returned to SA no later than 4pm on Friday, 03/06/26.
- There will be a mandatory meeting for candidates, date and time TBA.
- Elections will occur on UBLinked from 9AM on Monday, 03/30/26 until 4PM on Thursday, 04/03/26.
